Cameron Costello from the Quandamooka Yoolooburrabee Aboriginal Corporation (QYAC) talks about the future prospects for traditional owners of Minjerribah (Stradbroke Island) as they work with locals, business and UQ to create a new economies and employment opportunities as sandmining winds up on the island. An agreement was signed last week between QYAC, the State Government and Sibelco to rehabilitate the mines on the island.
