On Let’s Talk this morning Boe speaks with Vonda Malone who is the Mayor of the Torres Shire Council. Vonda is in Brisbane attending the First Nations Climate Summit as part of first ever Climate Week, Vonda spoke to the issues of rising sea levels and heavy weather conditions which make it very difficult for local people to travel to and from islands or get supplies dropped off, another thing she mentioned is her people becoming the first ever climate refugees.
