The drying Darling river and its impact on the Barkindji people

In the first half of this episode PHD candidate and Barkinji woman, Alicia Johnson talks about the role the Murray Darling Basin plays in connection to culture and human rights in Aboriginal communities. She draws from research done in her PHD to recognise the significance of Australia’s largest river as an imperative environmental resource at risk.

In the second half of the program, we talk about the class Action in Western Australia for stolen wages that kicks off today. Senior Associate solicitor for Shine Lawyers Tristian Gaven joins the program to talk about the nearly 10,000 complainants impacted by stolen wages.
