This morning on Let’s Talk boe speaks with Ronny Kareni the Pacific representative for the United Liberation for West Papua (ULMWP), Ronny shared with us the struggle and history of West Papuan people and their fight for freedom. Since 1963 after a year of transitional rule the United Nations powers was transferred to the republic of Indonesia. In the 1969 referendum now known as the “Act Of Free Choice” it was noted by the United Nations General assembly that the result of the “Act of Free Choice” was not democratically represented of the people of West Papua.
