Tiga Bayles interviews Paul Remati who is the Director of the National Indigenous Television (NITV) that will go to air in just two months. Paul also has experience in New Zealand with Maori TV.
NITV inaugural broadcasts will be transmitted to a potential audience of 220,000 scattered over remote areas of the Northern Territory, South Australia, Queensland and
western New South Wales. These will be carried on the second satellite channel of Indigenous run and Alice Springs based commercial broadcaster Imparja.
Paul talks about how NITV started, his role in NITV, how NITV was funded, what programs will be aired on NITV, their future goals, some of the challenges that will occur and plenty more.
Tiga Bayles also interviews Andrew Patterson and Kevin Beutel who are teachers from Kawanyama State School. They talk about the students learning about new technology, what living in the community means to them, the students going to boarding school, short films the students have made and more.
