This week on Let’s Talk Boe is co-hosting the show with Karina Hogan. They both speak to Lorena Allam from the Gamilaraay nation and who is the Guardian’s Indigenous affairs editor. We talk about some of the amazing stories and article she has written over the last few years from teaming up with others from The Guardian to create the Deaths Inside database that tracks every known Indigenous death in custody in Australia from 2008 to 2019 winning a Walkley in 2018, Lorena and her Guardian team also worked with the University of Newcastle for the Colonial Frontier Massacres Project and in 2019 they picked up a Kennedy Award.
