We chat about his people’s struggle as the Indigenous peoples of Chile Mapuche like many Indigenous nations faced harsh repression military occupation forced removal from lands and put into reservations. Jamie’s family was involved in the fight against the Pinochet’s dictatorship who took control of Chile by the use military.
