Jon Altman is a social scientist with a disciplinary focus on anthropology and economics. He was the founding director of the Centre for Aboriginal Economic Policy Research (CAEPR) at the Australian National University and is a senior research professor, Fellow of the Academy of the Social Sciences in Australia and Australian Research Council Australian Professorial Fellow.
