Karen Dorante spoke with Rachel Malthouse, National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Women's Alliance. Rachel has a background in community development and has worked Queensland and the Northern Territory delivering a range of programs for women and young people. She worked for ATSIC in south-east Queensland in the area of policy research and development. Her focus for a long time has been on women's welfare and issues and last year appointed program manager at the National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Women's Alliance in Canberra.
